(ANS – Rome) – The term 'digital continent' refers to the digital area that includes the Internet, social media, online platforms and all the communication and information technologies that are an integral part of life in contemporary society. But what exactly is it? In view of the Communication 2024 Conference "SHAPING TOMORROW," which will take place 1-7 August 2024 at the facilities of the Pontifical Salesian University (UPS) in Rome, the Sector for Social Communication presents a reflection on this much-used but perhaps really little-known expression.
RMG – 13 May 2024 - In a few days time, on 15 May, the Novena to Mary Help of Christians will begin, accompanying many consecrated and lay people in the Salesian Family on their spiritual journey to the Feast of Mary Help of Christians, a celebration so dear to Don Bosco. From 14 May, the videos of the World Novena will be available on the different TELEGRAM CHANNEL SDB.ORG language channels and on the TELEGRAM CHANNEL SDB.ORG and will be uploaded day by day until the eve of the feast. In addition, the booklets are already available in five languages: Italian, English, Spanish, French and Portuguese.
(ANS – Rome) – Anticipation is growing for the 2024 edition of the Worldwide Novena to Mary Help of Christians. As devotees around the world prepare for the spiritual journey to be undertaken as a community, those responsible for the initiative have completed and made available the translated versions of the booklets that accompany the videos.
(ANS – Rome) – Cardinal Ángel Fernández Artime, Rector Major of the Salesians, continues his visit to some of the most significant works of the Salesian presence in sub-Saharan Africa. After various stops in the St Charles Lwanga Vice-Province of Africa Great Lakes (AGL), he is preparing to visit the Democratic Republic of the Congo, a country where the Salesians have been present for 113 years.
(ANS – Rome) – In order to answer to the mandate of the GC28 to respond creatively, courageously and educatively to the digital culture and the recent call of Pope Francis regarding the importance of artificial intelligence for the Church, the Sector of Salesian Social Communication has created an International Salesian Commission for Artificial Intelligence (ISCAI).
(ANS – Rome) – The tradition of the Worldwide Novena to Mary Help of Christians (15-23 May), promoted by Salesian Headquarters and of importance for all members of the Salesian Family who intend to adequately prepare for this anniversary, is renewed again this year. Accompanying videos of the 2024 Novena will be made available online in the coming days.

The humble work which he began for the welfare of his poor and abandoned boys in Italy has produced astonishing results, and today there are nearly 14000 Salesians working in 138 countries, and there are more than 200,000 members belonging to the 32 groups of the worldwide Salesian Family sharing the charism of Don Bosco and reaching out to the needy young people.

India – INS youth solemnise Don Bosco’s Feast Day with ‘Ka Sur Kynud S-3’ Grand Finale
(ANS – Shillong) – The Youth of St John Paul II, Shillong Province, celebrated the Feast Day of St. John Bosco with the Grand Finale of “Ka Sur Kynud, Season 3.” Organised by Don Bosco Media Network Television, the Social Communication Department of the Province, at Don Bosco Youth Centre, Laitumkhrah, Shillong, this two-month-long singing competition, which imitates the global singing competition The Voice, concluded on 31 January 2025, coinciding with the Solemnity of St John Bosco.
