Kigali, Rwanda - February 2025 - On 5 February, a joint meeting was held in Kimihurura-Kigali, headquarters of the Africa Great Lakes Vice-Province (AGL), between the members of the Finance, Planning and Development Commission of the AGL Vice-Province, and the Economers from the local communities. After an introductory prayer by Fr Servilien Ufitamahoro, Economer of the AGL Vice-Province, Fr Gabriel Ngendakuriyo, Superior of the Vice-Province, addressed a word of welcome to the Salesians present, emphasising transparency, spirit of initiative, solidarity and vision as characteristics of religious economic management. Afterwards, the local bursars presented the economic situation of each Salesian house, followed by members of the Vice-Province's Planning and Development Office, who illustrated some important tools for the development, management and reporting of projects and the structure of transparent accounting.
