(ANS - Turin) - "It is impossible to arrive at Jesus without passing through the love of Mary": this advice left by Don Bosco to his beloved sons guided the gathering of European novices held during the days of May 20 to 25, on the occasion of feast day of Mary Help of Christians (May 24). Members of the novitiates from Genzano (Italy), Kopiec (Poland) and Poprad (Slovakia) were guests of the "Sacred Heart" novitiate community at Colle Don Bosco. A total of 21 novices and 10 formators were thus able to experience a meeting to share their different vocational paths, colored with familiarity and typical Salesian cheerfulness.
(ANS - Rome) - "When at the beginning of this meeting they started introducing me to all the people, all the representations, all the groups, all the realities ... I thought, 'How much life, how many stories, how many commitments, how much great work, how many dreams, how many projects!' I am convinced that with what we do together we are carrying out a beautiful dream." With these words Fr Ángel Fernández Artime, Rector Major of the Salesians, summed up in the best possible way the reality that has sprung up at Via Giacomo Costamagna, 6, in Rome, inside the Salesian Work "Pio XI," where last Saturday, May 28, the new headquarters of the Centro Nazionale Opere Salesiane (CNOS) was inaugurated.
(ANS - Messina) - The "Ethics and Peace after Ukraine" Symposium was held last Friday, May 20, at the Messina School of Bioethics and Sexology - "St. Thomas" Theological Institute. The event was well attended by students, faculty, alumni of the school and friends. The proceedings were moderated by the school's rector, Fr Giovanni Russo, a Salesian, who introduced the theme and recalled that the graduate school will be celebrating its 25th anniversary in the coming academic year.
(ANS - Turin) - All mothers are special, but some have had the merit of being able to write a page in human history. Among them is Margherita Occhiena, mother of St. John Bosco, known to all as Mamma Margaret.

(ANS - Turin) - Ready to face the competition of an auction is the Fiat Panda 4x4 passenger car, registered in Don Bosco's centennial year (1988) and fully restored by the students of the Autovehicular Mechanics and Bodywork courses of the Vocational Training Center in Rebaudengo, Turin. On the day after the feast of Mary Help of Christians, they presented it flaming red to the people involved in the project - artisans, entrepreneurs, representatives of local institutions - as well as to the Superior of the Piedmont and Aosta Valley Province (ICP), Fr Leonardo Mancini, and the President of the Salesian Mission Office "Missioni Don Bosco" in Turin, Fr Daniel Antúnez.
