"My personal feelings are those of an important event (…) of ‘obedience’ and listening to the Holy Spirit. At this moment, which is clearly significant for the Congregation, there is a great emotion in doing something that goes far beyond my usual habits, possibilities, and abilities," said the President of GC29, Fr. Stefano Martoglio, in a video interview released today, February 19.
"The great theme chosen for GC29 – ‘Passionate about Jesus Christ, Dedicated to the Young’ – and the fact that we have returned to Valdocco, the cradle of the charism, where everything was born and developed in its different dimensions, truly helps us to look at the current world situation with courage and realism, especially the situation in which young people, the recipients of our mission, are living," emphasized Fr. Pascual Chávez, Rector Major Emeritus and Preacher of the Spiritual Retreat introducing GC29, in the first video interview conducted.
These are just two examples of a communication initiative that will continue throughout GC29, made possible through the dedication and professionalism of the communication team convened by the Moderator, Fr. Alphonse Owoudou.
The video interviews will be regularly shared on the ANS Facebook page and YouTube channel, and will be made available in multiple languages, prioritizing those most commonly used within the Congregation (Italian, English, and Spanish).
