(ANS – Rome) – The Communication Conference 2024, entitled “Shaping Tomorrow” will be held from 1-7 August 2024 at the Pontifical Salesian University (UPS) in Rome this is a combined initiative of the Salesian Congregation’s Communication sector and the Faculty of the Sciences of Social Communication at the UPS.
(ANS – Rome) – In the year in which the entire Salesian Family focuses on Don Bosco's Dream at Nine Years of Age, many other small dreams are arising in the Salesian world, carried out by those who call on him for the education and evangelisation of young people. This explains, for example, the new initiative that is being developed at Sacred Heart in Rome: the first Salesian Symphony Orchestra (OSS), a project, moreover, still in its embryonic phase, but which has already received the blessing and explicit support of Cardinal Ángel Fernández Artime, Rector Major of the Salesians.
(ANS – Rome) – The novena begins today, 22 January, in preparation for the feast of the Father and Teacher of Youth, St John Bosco. In this bicentenary year of the Dream at Nine years of Age, the Salesian iNfo Agency would like to accompany this journey of preparation following up on his countless “dreams”, to let us once again be guided by Don Bosco and his prophetic visions.
(ANS – Rome) – The Salesian Info Agency (ANS) is the agency that deals with making the world aware of what good is done in the world in the name of Don Bosco. It is by constitution a "communication organ of the Salesian Congregation" and for 74 years – with various changes of denominations and locations – it has made its mission to support to the best of its ability the communications mission of the Congregation and the Salesian Family. Today it does so mainly through the web and thanks to a network of correspondents that covers over 90 Salesian Provinces spread across 5 continents.
(ANS – Rome) – With the resumption of the work of the winter plenary session of the General Council, the schedule of new appointments for the tasks of province animation and governance is also being completed. After extensive consultation, Cardinal Ángel Fernández Artime, Rector Major of the Salesians of Don Bosco, with the consent of the other members of his Council, has appointed the new Superior of the St Mark Province of Northeastern Italy (INE): Fr Silvio Zanchetta.
(ANS - Rome) - The Salesian Family Spirituality Days (GSFS) 2024 will begin tomorrow afternoon, Thursday, January 18, at Turin-Valdocco. Slated as an event of communion and fraternity among the different groups that have sprung up along the great charismatic tree originated by Don Bosco, every year it focuses on the theme of the Rector Major's Strenna. For this year, therefore, the focus of reflections and theme will be: "The dream that makes us dream. A heart that turns 'wolves' into 'lambs'".

India – INS youth solemnise Don Bosco’s Feast Day with ‘Ka Sur Kynud S-3’ Grand Finale(ANS – Shillong) – The Youth of St John Paul II, Shillong Province, celebrated the Feast Day of St. John Bosco with the Grand Finale of “Ka Sur Kynud, Season 3.” Organised by Don Bosco Media Network Television, the Social Communication Department of the Province, at Don Bosco Youth Centre, Laitumkhrah, Shillong, this two-month-long singing competition, which imitates the global singing competition The Voice, concluded on 31 January 2025, coinciding with the Solemnity of St John Bosco.
