(ANS - Rome) - Three years after the first edition, the Salesian Youth Ministry Dicastery returns to propose a second edition of the School for Youth Ministry Delegates from 6 to 18 May 2019. The School is addressed to all those Salesians who have been recently nominated Provincial Delegates for Salesian Youth Ministry. Those Salesians who are preparing to take on this responsibility in the future may also participate.
(ANS - Rome) - Salesian Brother Jesús Julián Garcia Garrido, known simply as Signor Jess, is the current Community Economer of the Salesian Central Office in Rome, a position he was called to about a year ago. A native of Spain, he served as a missionary in the Philippines and in Papua New Guinea, for a total of 35 years. In view of the VII Congress of Salesian Brothers of East Asia and Oceania, he contributed to the reflections with a short essay entitled, "My heresies. A personal reflection on the Salesian Lay Person."

(ANS - Rome) - After the meetings with the Rector Major and the General Council, Fr Fabio Attard, General Councilor for Youth Ministry of the Salesian Congregation, took stock of the main topics dealt with at the pastoral level.
(ANS – Rome) – In less than two weeks time, many Salesians from all 12 SDB provinces of the East Asia-Oceania Region will gather in K’Long, Vietnam, from August 9 to 12, to celebrate the 7th EAO Salesian Brother Congress with the theme: “We all are Brothers” (Mt 23.8), a Regional event to also include the participation of 4 General Councilors and representatives of the Salesian Brothers from all 5 continents.
(ANS - Rome) - After the work sessions of the General Council, the Rector Major, Fr Ángel Fernández Artime, immediately resumed his commitments to bring the embrace of the Successor of Don Bosco around the world. From 1 to 12 August he will be in Brazil, visiting the Provinces of Porto Alegre (BPA) and Belo Horizonte (BBH).

RMG – Don Bosco: “The Fascinating Saint”
(ANS - Rome) - Don Bosco is perhaps the most amazing and fascinating saint, history has ever produced. The humble work which he began for the welfare of his poor and abandoned boys in Italy has produced astonishing results, and today there are nearly 14000 Salesians working in 138 countries, and there are more than 200,000 members belonging to the 32 groups of the worldwide Salesian Family sharing the charism of Don Bosco and reaching out to the needy young people.

India – INS youth solemnise Don Bosco’s Feast Day with ‘Ka Sur Kynud S-3’ Grand Finale
(ANS – Shillong) – The Youth of St John Paul II, Shillong Province, celebrated the Feast Day of St. John Bosco with the Grand Finale of “Ka Sur Kynud, Season 3.” Organised by Don Bosco Media Network Television, the Social Communication Department of the Province, at Don Bosco Youth Centre, Laitumkhrah, Shillong, this two-month-long singing competition, which imitates the global singing competition The Voice, concluded on 31 January 2025, coinciding with the Solemnity of St John Bosco.

United States – CATHOLIC WORLD DAY OF THE SICK: Salesian Missions highlights medical programs for people in need around the globe
(ANS – New Rochelle) – Salesian Missions, the U.S. development arm of the Salesians of Don Bosco, joins Catholic organizations around the globe in honoring the Catholic World Day of the Sick. Every year on Feb. 11, the Pope marks the day with a special message calling for spiritual and physical closeness to all those who are ill. Saint John Paul II instituted the day “to encourage the people of God, Catholic health institutions and civil society to be increasingly attentive to the sick and to those who care for them.”
