Philippines – Salesian "Sacred Heart" Novitiate Completes Mid-Year Evaluation
Cebu, Philippines – February 2025 – The Salesian Novitiate dedicated to "Sacred Heart" in Cebu City recently completed its mid-year evaluation of the Novitiate Formation Plan. The community consists of three Salesians and six novices. Over a nine-day formative experience, from February 10 to 18, the novices had the opportunity to visit Salesian communities on the islands of Iloilo and Negros, reflecting on their first six months of novitiate. The evaluation provided an occasion to highlight key observations, analyze underlying concerns, and discern future directions with practical recommendations to revitalize the next phase of their novitiate journey. Additionally, the novices' immersion in the Salesian communities allowed them to identify significant local reference points for their formation. At the conclusion of each community visit, the novices expressed their gratitude and sang the official 2025 Jubilee Hymn, titled "Pilgrims of Hope."
