(ANS - Turin) - From July 7 to 10, 2022, the Spiritual Exercises for adherents and sympathizers of the Association of Mary Help of Christians, ADMA Primary of Turin, led by Fr. Alejandro Guevara, Salesian of Don Bosco, World Spiritual Animator of the association, were held in the Salesian Motherhouse in Valdocco, Turin.

Seveso, Italy - July 2022 - From July 8 to 10, the Congress of the Italy, Middle East and Malta Region of the Association of Salesian Cooperators was held at the Ambrosian Pastoral Center in Seveso. After a year from its natural expiration, due to the health emergency that did not allow the convocation in attendance, the provincial councils of the Region met again to elect a new world councilor. Also present on the occasion were Fr. Joan Lluis Playa, Central Delegate of the Rector Major for the Secretariat for the Salesian Family, Salesian Coadjutor Br. Dominic Nguyen, World Delegate for Salesian Cooperators and Past Pupils of Don Bosco, and the World Delegate of the Association of Salesian Cooperators, Sister Carmen Lucrezia Uribe. On the morning of Sunday, July 10, Italo Canaletti was elected as the Region's new World Councilor, taking the place of Carlo Pellegrino, who came to the end of his term. The regional council, which met immediately after the election, voted unanimously for the new councilor's proposal to ask Massimo Melodia for Administration and Matteo Caracciolo for Formation.

(ANS - Boretto) - "I am truly proud to have been born in Boretto. I’m very happy to meet a fellow citizen who is a saint!" Thus, and in other ways, said the large group of people who, in the city of Boretto, participated in the event organized on July 7 given the upcoming canonization of the beloved son of that land, Blessed Artemide Zatti, Salesian coadjutor (Boretto, Italy, 1880 - Viedma, Argentina, 1951).
(ANS - Turin) - Victoria is 32 years old and had always lived in Kyiv with her whole family until the first bombs of the war fell very close to her home and she had to leave her home. She used to work in a bank and was happy, but since the invasion began she has done nothing but run away, feeling as if the shadows of war haunted her, her loved ones ... and the baby she was expecting, finally born last May, when she was already in Italy. Now, with the Salesians in Turin, she hopes peace will come soon so she can return home, reunite with her husband and be with her whole family again.
Turin, Italy - July 2022 - From June 26 to July 7, altar server representatives from the houses of the Salesian Province of Warsaw (PLE), a total of 65 people, are visiting the places of Don Bosco. Having arrived at the Vallecrosia work, founded by Don Bosco himself, they experienced moments of formation, integration, and sightseeing. One of the most important moments was the visit to Valdocco with prayer in front of Don Bosco's tomb, and the meeting with the Councilor for the Central and Northern Europe Region, Fr. Roman Jachimowicz. "We sincerely thank all the Salesians we met during our pilgrimage for their true witness of love for Don Bosco," the participants commented.

The humble work which he began for the welfare of his poor and abandoned boys in Italy has produced astonishing results, and today there are nearly 14000 Salesians working in 138 countries, and there are more than 200,000 members belonging to the 32 groups of the worldwide Salesian Family sharing the charism of Don Bosco and reaching out to the needy young people.

(ANS – Madrid) – The 33rd edition of the Edebé Prize for Children's and Young Adult Literature has been awarded to Beatriz Giménez de Ory (Madrid, 1972) for her novel Tres niños tristes y medio unicornio (Three Sad Children and Half a Unicorn) and David Lozano (Zaragoza, 1974) for his novel La cacería (The Hunt).

United States – CATHOLIC WORLD DAY OF THE SICK: Salesian Missions highlights medical programs for people in need around the globe
(ANS – New Rochelle) – Salesian Missions, the U.S. development arm of the Salesians of Don Bosco, joins Catholic organizations around the globe in honoring the Catholic World Day of the Sick. Every year on Feb. 11, the Pope marks the day with a special message calling for spiritual and physical closeness to all those who are ill. Saint John Paul II instituted the day “to encourage the people of God, Catholic health institutions and civil society to be increasingly attentive to the sick and to those who care for them.”
