Young couples, families with children, separated and widowed lived together a period of spiritual recharging made of prayer, fraternity, sharing, and family-friendly formation. An experience in which the children were also involved, with the little ones engaged in games and activities organized by the older ones. In the school of St. Francis de Sales, on the 400th anniversary of his death, participants deepened the themes of prayer, the sacraments of Eucharist and Confession, and the virtues of humility and charity.
The days were strongly anchored in Jesus Eucharist and Mary Help of Christians, in the style of Don Bosco and according to the spirituality proper to ADMA, the fourth group of the large Salesian Family.
Each morning was opened by the recitation of Lauds, and each day time was always set aside for Eucharistic Adoration, the Rosary, and Mass. At the conclusion of each day, in the courtyards of Valdocco, the tradition of the "Salesian goodnight" was renewed, enriched by the presence of a group of animators from Belarus and by the inspired word of the General Councilor for Formation, Fr. Ivo Coelho; this moment, always accompanied by evening prayer and lived under the blessing gaze of Mary Help of Christians who dominated from the top of the Basilica, allowed all those present to broaden their gaze and to know better the varied reality of the Salesian Family.
The experience carried out by the ADMA in Turin, which involved about sixty people, will be repeated other times during the summer, maintaining the same formation structure and program of activities, to give the possibility to many other small groups to be able to participate, on different dates and places.
The next events will take place in Cumiana, Province of Turin, from July 21 to 24, and, in three shifts, in Gressoney, Val d'Aosta, from July 31 to August 12, with a total participation of about 400 people.
