(ANS - Milan) - COVID-19 has reached the entire world. The situation in northern Italy is especially critical, where even the Salesians of Don Bosco of the Lombardy-Emilian Province (ILE) suffer the consequences of the infection and have had to mourn the loss of several confreres.
Sesto San Giovanni, Italy - March 2020 – At the time of this health-related emergency, with consequent social isolation, the Salesians of Sesto San Giovanni have launched a series of distant initiatives for pupils and families, such as digital teaching and the traditional “Good morning”. The Director, the Principals, the Catechists and the Councilors of the Social Works Don Bosco record their video messages that are published on the YouTube channel "Salesiani Sesto", on the Facebook profile "Salesiani Sesto", and on their website, as below.

"Ci stiamo" – we're here, let's take up the challenge - is the educational commitment with those who struggle the most, which continues now as before, only in different ways, making greater use of the reservoirs of creativity and tenacity. (ANS - Brescia) - The Salesian community mourns the death of the Apostolic Vicar of Gambella (Ethiopia), namely Msgr. Angelo Moreschi, SDB, who died today, March 25, in Brescia (Italy) due to the coronavirus.
Turin, Italy - March 2020 - On March 20, the students of the Missionary Animation Course of the Piedmont and Valle d'Aosta Circumscription (ICP) met via videoconference for the usual monthly meeting. On this occasion, they reflected on the catechesis of Fr Andrea Bozzolo, SDB, on the theme "And if faith...", which was followed by the sharing of what was heard.
(ANS - Turin) - Livia Borello is a young mother and a nurse at the forefront of the fight against coronavirus, a past pupil of the Salesian Classics Lyceum "Valsalice" in Turin. Family, work and education are three dimensions intertwined in her life, which she talks about in the following interview.

Chile – Former Salesian student in the fight against Alzheimer's disease
(ANS - Santiago) - Dr Nibaldo Inestrosa, graduate of the Salesian Institute in Valdivia and national prize of Natural Sciences winner, is a pioneer and expert in the study of Alzheimer's disease in the country. The humble work which he began for the welfare of his poor and abandoned boys in Italy has produced astonishing results, and today there are nearly 14000 Salesians working in 138 countries, and there are more than 200,000 members belonging to the 32 groups of the worldwide Salesian Family sharing the charism of Don Bosco and reaching out to the needy young people.

India – INS youth solemnise Don Bosco’s Feast Day with ‘Ka Sur Kynud S-3’ Grand Finale
(ANS – Shillong) – The Youth of St John Paul II, Shillong Province, celebrated the Feast Day of St. John Bosco with the Grand Finale of “Ka Sur Kynud, Season 3.” Organised by Don Bosco Media Network Television, the Social Communication Department of the Province, at Don Bosco Youth Centre, Laitumkhrah, Shillong, this two-month-long singing competition, which imitates the global singing competition The Voice, concluded on 31 January 2025, coinciding with the Solemnity of St John Bosco.
