(ANS - Piedimonte Matese) - Since the time of its approval in May 1876, the Association of Salesian Cooperators has contributed to spreading the Salesian mission in many countries of the world. Today, sharing her vocational history and her experience of service in the Salesian Family is the World Administrator of the Association, Cinzia Arena, born in 1971 in Naples - although today she lives in Piedimonte Matese, Province of Caserta - a graduate in Economics and Commerce and employed in the Third Sector for non-profit associations.
(ANS - Rimini) - A few days after the feast day of Don Bosco, the Salesian community of Rimini publishes a boxed set containing all the publications concerning its church of Mary Help of Christians. The collection serves as a synthesis of the in-depth works developed in conjunction with two centenarians recently experienced by the community: that of the birth of Blessed Alberto Marvelli (21 March 1918), who was formed as a committed young Christian in the church of Mary Help of Christians; and that relating to the arrival of the Salesians in Rimini (1919-2019).
(ANS - Turin) - It was in the early 1960s when a shop selling religious objects appeared for the first time in the courtyard of Valdocco, the Mother House of the Salesian Congregation. It was born from a beautiful intuition. There were many pilgrims and missionaries already back then: all eager to bring home objects that would narrate and recall the presence of Mary Help of Christians and Don Bosco on their return to their lands of origin or mission. Palermo, Italy - February 2021 - The community of the Salesian Institute "Don Bosco Ranchibile" in Palermo, despite the difficult moment due to the pandemic and in full compliance to government health anf safety decrees, has worked to keep alive the activities started previously: Basketball, Volleyball, Soccer, Archery, Martial Art 'Hwa Rang Do', Group Dance, Guitar, Rhythmic Gymnastics, Modern Dance, Capoeira, Postural Gymnastics, Piano. Thus, the many activities are carried out outdoors, ensuring social distancing, to offer children the opportunity to grow and develop their passions in a safe and Salesian educational environment. Also, formation meetings are held in the oratory so they can reflect on faith and the sense of belonging to a community, guaranteeing spiritual and human growth inspired by Don Bosco. Another initiative carried out by the Institute is school tutoring through which students in difficulty are taught a valid and effective method of study for learning.

(ANS - Orta San Giulio) - On the occasion of the opening of the "Casa Don Bosco" Museum in Turin-Valdocco, the Ancient Textiles Restoration Laboratory of the "Mater Ecclesiae" abbey of the Benedictine nuns of Isola San Giulio - municipality of Orta San Giulio, Province of Novara, Piedmont - has restored some clothes and accessories that belonged to Don Bosco. "The beautiful coincidence of the feast day of Don Bosco with that of San Giulio (both celebrated on January 31, Ed) and the communion with the Salesian reality of our diocese, make the figure of the holy priest John Bosco dear to us," explained the nuns.
(ANS - Rome) – The new report on the activities of the "Borgo Ragazzi Don Bosco", the emblematic work of the Salesians in Rome, was published a few days ago, one completely dedicated to the most fragile and at risk minors. Entitled "No home is far away", the document presents the help offered, in the context of the pandemic, to 1,045 children and 389 families. India – INS youth solemnise Don Bosco’s Feast Day with ‘Ka Sur Kynud S-3’ Grand Finale
(ANS – Shillong) – The Youth of St John Paul II, Shillong Province, celebrated the Feast Day of St. John Bosco with the Grand Finale of “Ka Sur Kynud, Season 3.” Organised by Don Bosco Media Network Television, the Social Communication Department of the Province, at Don Bosco Youth Centre, Laitumkhrah, Shillong, this two-month-long singing competition, which imitates the global singing competition The Voice, concluded on 31 January 2025, coinciding with the Solemnity of St John Bosco.

United States – CATHOLIC WORLD DAY OF THE SICK: Salesian Missions highlights medical programs for people in need around the globe
(ANS – New Rochelle) – Salesian Missions, the U.S. development arm of the Salesians of Don Bosco, joins Catholic organizations around the globe in honoring the Catholic World Day of the Sick. Every year on Feb. 11, the Pope marks the day with a special message calling for spiritual and physical closeness to all those who are ill. Saint John Paul II instituted the day “to encourage the people of God, Catholic health institutions and civil society to be increasingly attentive to the sick and to those who care for them.”
