Kenya - The Africa-Madagascar Salesian Centre for Formation organises its fourth workshop on Salesian Pastoral Accompaniment
Nairobi, Kenya - February 2025 - From 3 to 9 February, the Africa-Madagascar (SAFCAM) Salesian Centre for Formation organised its fourth workshop on Salesian Pastoral Accompaniment with ten participants and three facilitators. The participants came from different Salesian provinces and vice-provinces: AOS, MOZ, ANG, MDG, ZMB, ATE and AFE, among them also a Sister (FMA) from AFE. The SAFCAM team and participants were very grateful for the excellent guidance provided by the facilitators: Fr Alex Mulongo, Fr Philip Lazatin and Fr Richard Ebejer. The workshop was highly appreciated by all, with a very important contribution in the first sessions and a useful time afterwards for practical exercises. In addition, the sharing of pastoral experiences in two small groups was also very enriching, and participants said they were happy to learn from their apostolic experiences and also from the challenges they face. In this way, they are formed ‘in’ the Mission, and not just ‘for’ the Mission. Similar workshops have been organised since November 2022 and are very useful for the confreres and other members of the Salesian Family in the Africa-Madagascar Region.
