(ANS – Bonn) – 84 young people aged between 17 and 26 from Germany are currently starting a voluntary service as Don Bosco Volunteers both domestically and abroad. 40 of them are beginning a voluntary service in Germany. For one year, they will actively support the work on-site in the Don Bosco facilities.

(ANS – Rome) - The International Salesian Commission for Artificial Intelligence (ISCAI) held its second virtual meeting on 5 September 2024, following its inaugural session in May. Fourteen members make up the panel, twelve of whom were present. The meeting was chaired by Fr Gildasio Mendes, General Councillor for Social Communication.

(ANS) – From today, 9 September, until next Friday, 13 September 2024, for the first time more than 100 representatives of Salesian Social Works from all the Americas will meet in Aparecida, in the Brazilian State of São Paulo. The Continental Meeting of Salesian Works and Social Services of America, entitled "Dreaming in the network", brings together representatives of 21 member countries of the Salesian Social America Network (RASS) and the Salesian Network of Brazil (RSB), in an event that aims to strengthen the network of Salesian works that work with young people in situations of vulnerability and exclusion throughout the continent.

(ANS – Port Moresby) – Pope Francis meets with young people from Papua New Guinea at the Sir John Guise Stadium in Port Moresby, encouraging them to practice “the language of love and service”.

(ANS – Rome) – The Vicar of the Rector Major, Fr Stefano Martoglio, has entrusted a short video message with his greeting in view of the upcoming Extraordinary World Assembly of Past Pupils, scheduled from 2 to 6 October in Valdocco, Turin at the Salesian Mother House.
