(ANS) – One of the strategic objectives of the Salesian Social America Network (RASS) is to promote effective communication of social works, which leads to the visibility of Salesian action and raises society's awareness of the reduction of social inequalities. For this reason, RASS is committed to promoting networking with the Communication Sector of the Salesian Congregation and is in close contact with Fr Ricardo Campoli, Salesian Social Communication Coordinator for America, and with the Social Communication Team of America (ECSA).

RMG – Updates on the "Ratio"

(ANS – Rome) – A group of 14 Salesians will meet at Salesian Headquarters in Rome from 18 October to 3 November 2024, to work on the draft of the Ratio. The group consists of representatives from each of the regions, the Pontifical Salesian University and the members of the Formation Sector.

(ANS- Rome) – On Sunday 20 October 2024 in Rome, on the occasion of World Mission Day, Pope Francis will inscribe Blessed Joseph Allamano, founder of the Consolata missionaries, in the register of saints.

(ANS – Rzeszów) – On Sunday 6 October 2024, the Divine Providence and Saint John Bosco Parish celebrated the jubilee of the 40th anniversary of the apostolate of the Salesians of Don Bosco in Rzeszów, in the New City. The Solemn anniversary Mass was presided over by the Superior of the Saint Hyacinth Province of Krakow, Poland (PLS), Fr Marcin Kaznowski, SDB.

(ANS – Ouagadougou) – Fr Pierre Célestin Ngoboka, on behalf of the Rector Major of the Salesians, began his Extraordinary Visitation to the six countries that make up the Our Lady of Peace Province of North West Africa (AON) – specifically: Benin, Burkina Faso, Gambia, Guinea Conakry, Mali and Senegal. The visit continues according to a precise agenda, whose purpose is to evaluate local Salesian initiatives and strengthen fraternal ties with and between communities. Starting in Benin on 19 September 2024, the Extraordinary Visitation continued in Burkina Faso, where the Visitor arrived on 11 October, and will end on 20 November.

(ANS – Makelle) – After a five-year delay due to the COVID-19 pandemic and civil war, the Salesian Community in Makelle celebrated its first graduation ceremony, marking a significant milestone in the region's journey towards recovery. The ceremony, attended by students, relatives, friends, and authorities, was graced by the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including Bishop Tesfaselassie of the Catholic Eparchy of Adigrat and Abuna Efrem, Bishop of the Orthodox Church of Ethiopia. The Bishops offered heartfelt messages, prayers, and blessings to the graduating class.
