(ANS – Santiago) – "Conexión Natural", an audiovisual work by Centro Salesianos Talca won the award for best animation in the eight best-in-class category, at the third edition of the "Don Bosco Global Youth Film Festival" (DBGYFF 2024), at the awards ceremony held on 18 October in the United States.

(ANS – Gwangju) – On 19 October at 2 PM, an event commemorating the 70th anniversary of the Salesians' presence in Korea, titled '70th Anniversary of the Salesian Charism in Korea', took place at the gymnasium of Gwangju Salesian High School, attended by over 300 members of the Salesian family and many Salesian middle and high school students.

(ANS – Rome) – The opening Ceremony of the 2024/2025 academic year at the Pontifical Salesian University (UPS) is scheduled for Wednesday 23 October 2024, one of the most important moments in the life of the university. "On a journey with young people, pilgrims of hope" is the inspiring theme that will be the backdrop to the opening day and will accompany the new academic year, characterised by the great Jubilee event that will bring thousands of pilgrims from all over the world to Rome.

(ANS – Santiago) – The Provincials of Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Uruguay and Paraguay, together with the Regional Councillor for America South Cone, Fr Gabriel Romero, are participating in these days (21-23 October 2024) in a formation and reflection meeting at the Theological Studentate at Lo Cañas, in Santiago de Chile.

(ANS – Chennai) – Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, located in Perambur, Chennai, India, purchased 15 sets of interactive intelligent panel boards to facilitate a more dynamic and engaging learning environment for students. The boards were purchased thanks to donor funding from Salesian Missions, the U.S. development arm of the Salesians of Don Bosco.

(ANS - Port Moresby) – The Don Bosco Global Youth Film Festival (DBGYFF) took place on Saturday, October 19th, 2024, at the Paradise Cinema, Vision City, Port Moresby. It had as its theme: I have a dream: Youth and Climate change. Monsignor Maurizio Bravi, Chargé d’Affaires, ai, was the chief guest at the screening. He was joined by Fr Gregorio Bicomong SDB, PGS Provincial, religious, students, media personnel, invited guests, and friends who gathered to watch, and reflect on films that encourage young people to consider their role in addressing environmental challenges and invite policy change at the level of government.
