(ANS – Montilla) – The Salesian house in Montilla celebrated its 125th anniversary on 3 October 2024. Over these 125 years a great educational work with the children and young people of the city was developed, becoming the engine of a rich and diverse religious, cultural and social life in Montilla. Its story and the extensive work are the result of a great dream.

(ANS – Damascus) – In a country devastated by years of war, young Syrians stand as symbols of resilience and hope. Despite the countless difficulties that surround them, they show a surprising skill and intelligence that distinguishes them, an ability to face daily challenges with determination and a spirit of sacrifice. Syria, with its destroyed political and social landscape, may seem a place where the future is uncertain and prospects are scarce, but young people, despite living in physical and emotional ruins, manage to build spaces of hope and give value to the present.

(ANS – Naigaon) – Marking the Silver Jubilee of Don Bosco High School and Junior College, Naigaon, Maharashtra, in the Salesian Province of Bombay, Salesians invited educational stakeholders to a symposium on Salesian pedagogy in the age of Artificial Intelligence. The seminar, held on October 5, centered on the Preventive System of Italian educationist Don Bosco, emphasizing innovative teaching, stress management, mental health, climate change, and Artificial Intelligence Generative AI. Around 150 participants from various Educational Boards and NGOs attended the event.

(ANS - St. Julians) – The 14th Annual Meeting of Salesian "Project Managers" will be held in St. Julians, Malta from 16 to 18 October 2024. It will be organised by Don Bosco Tech Europe APS in collaboration with Check-In Malta.

(ANS - Buenos Aires) - The Salesian Blessed Ceferino Namuncurá Province of South Argentina (ARS) has recently presented a summary of ‘Our Common Home: with children and young people towards a sustainable environmental mentality’, a project to raise awareness and commit to concrete actions for the care of the environment that the Province has implemented in eight Salesian houses, with the help of the Swiss Salesian NGO Don Bosco Jugendhilfe Weltweit (JuWe).

(ANS – Calcutta) – In preparation for the centenary of the Salesian Province of Calcutta, India, the first Salesian Province in India founded in 1926, the Salesian Institute in Sonada, Darjeeling, is hosting a seminar on the mission of Don Bosco, involving a large number of Past Pupils. The event, which began on 9 October, will end on 12 October.
