Rango, Rwanda - 13 November 2016 - The Commission for the Family of the Salesian parish of Rango in the Africa Great Lakes Vice-Province (AGL), visited the parish of Higiro to encourage the faithful to form a commission for the family. The commission of the Salesian parish of Rango was chosen by the diocesan office for the pastoral care of families as the team for the spread and consolidation of family ministry in the deanery of Butare. During the meeting Fr Eric Twizigiyimana, who is in charge of family ministry in the diocese of Butare, led the reflection on the theme of the Christian family in the Church today. He invited the participants to form model families needed in the world today and urged them to fight habits that weaken marriage and can lead to divorce and cause emotional wounds in married life.
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia - November 2016 - From 17 to 20 November Fr Guillermo Basañes, Councillor General for the Missions paid a visit to the Salesian Delegation of Mongolia. He visited the various Salesian works and met with the communities, young people and members of the Salesian Family.
Silchar, India - November 2016 - On 12 November, the software engineers of Don Bosco Media Network Shillong launched an application for the Android platform which offers various games on the theme of the Bible in the Khasi language. It was developed under the direction of a Salesian, Fr Michael Makri. Two years ago Fr Makri and his team launched the first interactive application in the Khasi language for Android.

Rome, Italy - November 2016 – On 21 November there was a gathering at the Salesian Generalate of the team leaders of the Salesian places of Valdocco and Colle Don Bosco. This was in response to a decision of GC27 which places the two major shrines of the Congregation under the responsibility of the Rector Major and his Council. The meeting was chaired by Fr Francesco Cereda, Vicar of the Rector Major, and Fr Stefano Martoglio, Councillor for the Mediterranean Region. Los Mochis, Mexico - November 2016 - Celebrations for the 25th anniversary of Salesian presence in Los Mochis in the Province of Mexico-Guadalajara (MEG) took place on 13 and 14 November. The Eucharistic celebration was presided over by Bishop Jonás Guerrero of Culiacán, and concelebrated by several diocesan priests and Salesians, including several former directors of the community and Fr Hugo Orozco, Provincial of MEG.
Mumbai, India - November 2016 – On 26 November last the Don Bosco Senior School in Matunga, Mumbai, began the celebration of its 75th anniversary. The celebrations consisting of various academic and cultural events, were presided over by the Provincial of Mumbai, Fr Godfrey D'Souza, a past pupil of the institute. The school is considered the "masterpiece" of the great Salesian missionary Fr Aurelio Male. Its current Director is Fr Bernard Fernandes.
