Yokohama, Japan – 14 November 2016 - Some students of the Salesian School in Yokohama, Province of Japan, have started a fundraiser for Christmas in aid of South Sudan.

Bogotá, Colombia - November 2016 - As part of the Extraordinary Visitation to the Province of Bogotá (COB), on 13 and 14 November, Fr Filiberto González, General Councillor General for Social Communication, visited the International Novitiate of Sagrado Corazón de Jesús and the post-novitiate of Felipe Rinaldi.

Kinshasa, D.R. Congo - November 2016 - From 12 to 14 November, the Mother General of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, Mother Yvonne Reungoat, visited the FMA works in Kinshasa. On 13 November, at the end of the Eucharist at which the Apostolic Nuncio Archbishop Luis Mariano Montemayor presided, Mother Reungoat urged the Sisters to be more and more passionate about Christ and to live the "Da mihi animas" with new apostolic outreach, accompanying young people in their search for their project of life. "What do these young people know about our life? We need to open our houses to them, and let them see us praying, eating and laughing ... not only during our school work and catechesis. If we giving living witness that we are women of God it is bound to affect the young people."

Arua, Uganda - November 2016 - As part of the Extraordinary Visitation to the Province of East Africa (AFE), Fr Américo Chaquisse, Councillor for the Africa-Madagascar Region, met the Salesians of Don Bosco from Morobo (southern Sudan) from 4 to 9 November. The meeting took place  in Arua (Uganda) for safety reasons.  Accompanied by the three Salesians from Morobo, Fr Chaquisse visited the refugee camp of "Bidi Bidi" which accommodates around 200,000 people, many of them from the Salesian parish of Toligamago, Morobo, and the refugee camp "Camp Rhino," which accommodates more than 120,000 people. Sunday Mass was celebrated at the "Bidi Bidi" camp. It was attended by over 400 people. 

Havana, Cuba - November 10th 2016 - The placing of a bust of the Servant of God José Vandor in the embassy of the Republic of Hungary in Cuba is a sign of the Christian values that bind this Salesian priest not only to Cuba, the land where he lived for 40 years, but also to his native land of Hungary. András Drexler, Hungary's ambassador to Cuba, and Bishop Arturo González Amador of the Diocese of Santa Clara presided at the opening ceremony and blessing in the presence of Archbishop Giorgio Lingua, Apostolic Nuncio to Cuba, Archbishop. Juan Garcia, archbishop of Havana, representatives of the Salesian Delegation of Cuba, diplomats, religious and Hungarians who live in the island.

Sliema, Malta - November 2016 - The National Federation of the Past Pupils and Friends of Don Bosco organized a "Meeting with Don Bosco" which was attended by all members of the Salesian Family in Malta. The event, now in its third year, aims to renew, remember and revive the spirit of Don Bosco in the Salesian Family. A round table discussion was led by Fr Jack Finnegan, SDB, from Ireland, Sr Mariella Agius and Fr Louis Grech SDB. The meeting was attended by a group of young Past Pupils and Friends of Don Bosco from Palermo and Milan (Italy), Croatia, Slovakia and Slovenia, who were present in Malta for a workshop on the inclusion of young people and youth poverty organized by the European program Erasmus +.
