Tlaquepaque, Mexico - November 2016 - On 19 November, during Evening Prayer of the solemnity of Christ the King, Patron of the Province of Guadalajara, the Provincial, Fr Hugo Orozco, presented a folder of the Salesian Saints sent by the Postulator General to the Salesian Pastoral Delegate of each of the 24 local communities in Northern Mexico. The Youth Ministry Team wanted this presentation on this important occasion to remind the confreres that our task is to animate the young people to holiness and to encourage them in prayer and knowledge of the figures of the Salesian Family.

La Paz, Bolivia - November 2016 - The Salesian Province of Bolivia is implementing a project for the training of lay people who work in the various Salesian works. The "Lay Project", coordinated by Fr Diego Villalobos SDB, has just ended and will soon be widely used. "One of the intentions of the project,” the coordinator said, “is to help the laity in the Salesian houses to become aware of their vocation and identity. This vocation is as important as the priestly or religious vocation."

São Paulo, Brazil - November 2016 - From 1 to 5 November, the coordinator for the Salesian Social Communication of Recife, Jakeline Lira, and the coordinator for Communication of the Salesian schools in Salvador, Gigliola Sena, took part in the Fifth Global MIL Week organized by UNESCO for media literacy and information. The event, held for the first time in Latin America, was attended by more than 300 researchers and professors in the field.
