Dili, East Timor - March 2016 - The Episcopal ordination of the Salesian, Virgilio do Carmo da Silva, Bishop of Dili, took place on 19 March. The celebration was presided over by the Apostolic Nuncio of East Timor, Archbishop Joseph Marino, and was attended by six bishops, many priests and religious, Salesians and members of the Salesian Family and civil authorities.

Thimphu, Bhutan - March 2016 - During the Extraordinary Visitation to the Province of Guwahati (ING), Fr Guillermo Basañes, Councillor for the Missions, paid a visit to a Buddhist monastery.

Lubumbashi, D.R. Congo - March 2016 - A large number of young people of the diocese of Lubumbashi took part in the diocesan Youth Days on 19 and 20 March. On the Saturday the young people recalled in particular the figure of St. Joseph; the next day they attended the celebration of Palm Sunday presided over by Archbishop Jean Pierre Tafunga, SDB.

Canlubang, Philippines – 12 March 2016 - The Salesian Brothers in the Northern Province of the Philippines took part in a formation course at the Don Bosco post-novitiate in Canlubang. The course was organized by Raymond Callo, SDB, Coordinator of the Department of Formation of the East Asia-Oceania Region.

Guatemala City, Guatemala - March 2016 - A meeting of leaders - lay and consecrated – of the Salesian oratories in Guatemala took place on 5-6 March.  The theme was "Let's be signs of mercy for the young." The meeting was led by Fr Javier Rivas, National Delegate for the Animation of the Oratories.

Zaragoza, Spain - March 2016 - The ceremony for the awarding of the 29th Don Bosco Prizes took place on 3 March. The event was attended by Teresa Pérez, Councillor for Education, Culture and Sports of the Government of Aragon, Fr Stefano Martoglio, SDB, Councillor for the Mediterranean Region, and civil and military authorities.
