Messina, Italy - August 2017 - From August 12 to 22, Salesians of the Italian Provinces soon to celebrate their perpetual profession embarked on a pilgrimage that took them on the footsteps of Pino Puglisi, the Blessed Martyr, and Nino Baglieri, Servant of God, and at the Shrine of Our Lady of Tears in Syracuse. They then were led through spiritual exercises their Novitiate Masters.

Cologne, Germany - August 2017 - On August 25th, the Don Bosco Club celebrated its 50th anniversary with a party attended by many young people. Also present, among many others: the Mayor of the district of Cologne-Mülheim, Norbert Fuchs, and Fr Reinhard Gesing, Germany's Salesian Provincial. Activities included theatrical, circus, sports and musical entertainment

Guatemala City, Guatemala - August 2017 - On August 27 at the Shrine of the Sacred Heart of Jesus of the Collegio Don Bosco, Msgr. Óscar Julio Vian Morales, SDB, archbishop of Santiago de Guatemala, presided over the diaconal ordinations of the Salesians Daniel García and Josué Saborío.

Melbourne, Australia - August 2017 - From August 25 to 28, 15 Salesian Youths, of nine different nationalities, seven Provinces, Vice-Provinces and Delegations of the East Asia-Oceania Region, participated in the annual Formation Meeting of the Salesians currently serving their five-year term. The training program was led by Fr. Frank Moloney, Fr. Bernie Graham; the concluding Eucharistic Celebration was by Fr Greg Chambers, Provincial of Australia.
