New Delhi, India - August 2017 - On 29 and 30 August, the Conference of Salesian Provinces of South Asia, chaired by Fr Maria Arokiam Kanaga, Councilor for the Asia-South Region, took place.

Chennai, India - August 2017 - On August 24, Fr. Kochamkunnel, Chennai Provincial (INM), chaired the inauguration ceremony of a new home for vulnerable girls and young female teens at “Don Bosco Anbu Illam - Saranalayam”. The ceremony was attended by the local civil and religious authorities and over 250 children.

San Benito Petén, Guatemala - August 2017 – The medical service organized to help the sick through the clinic of the Salesian mission of San Benito Petén continues. The mission visits the villagers and families living in the public landfill and attends to approximately 300 patients a month, in addition to those who require medicines only. Thanks also to the work of volunteers, the service has been expanded.

Sondrio, Italy - August 2017 - From August 24 to 26, a workshop for Salesian Catechists, with circa 70 participants, including a significant number of trainees, took place. Present were the appointed Provincial, Fr Giuliano Giacomazzi, of the Lombard-Emilian Province (ILE), who offered participants a number of operational guidelines for each of their areas of expertise; at his side, the outgoing PG Delegate, Fr Elio Cesari, and the new Delegate, Fr Paolo Caiani, who jointly managed the workshop and talks.

Rio Gallegos, Argentina - August 2017 - On August 27, a pilgrimage to Chimpai took place to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the beatification of Ceferino Namuncurá, with the participation of Fr Honorio Caucamán, Argentina South Provincial (ARS), and numerous faithful.

Tanda, Ivory Coast - On July 23, after completing specific Salesian Coadjutors training, Marc-Auguste Kambiré of the French West Africa Province (AFO) took perpetual vows from Fr Denis Soro, Provincial Delegate of the Senegal Delegation, Mali and Guinea Conakry.
