Veržej, Slovenia - September 2017 - From 3 to 5 September, the Delegate for Salesian Youth Ministry along with his Office organized a formation and information meeting for all Salesians of the Slovenian Province. This year, the main themes of the meeting were: culture of organization and accompaniment of the individual and accompanying young people with the Salesian charism. The forum also included fraternal meeting with moments of prayer for young people, presentations of summer projects, exposition of info and agreements on provincial projects, and coordinating dates and contents of individual Salesian homes with and for the Salesian Family for the new academic year.

Krakow, Poland - September 2017 - On 2 September Fr. Tadeusz Rozmus, Councilor for the North Central Europe Region, started the Extraordinary Visit to the Salesian Province of Krakow (PLS), which ends 4 November. The visit began with his presiding Holy Mass; attending, Salesians from all the presences of the Province, their directors and parish priests, representatives of the Salesian Family and from the Youth Ministry. During the visit, Fr Rozmus was due to visit all the PLS Province houses and works. "The Visit is the time to ask questions and look for answers," said Fr Rozmus, inviting a serious reflection on the issue: "To what extent are we present among young people today and what do we propose to them? (...) Don Bosco was a very creative man who went beyond the commonplace, so we, too, have to answer: are our activities creative or not?"(...). The purpose of this visit is not to control; we can see for ourselves what's done via the charism that we did not receive for ourselves, but for the whole Church."

Curitiba, Brazil - August 2017 - On 28 and 29 August, Salesian coadjutors of the São Paulo Province (BSP), José Aparecido Carlotto and Luiz Antônio Amiranda visited the "Immaculate Conception" Novitiate of Curitiba, Porto Alegre Province. (BPA)

Lospalos, East Timor - August 2017 - From 25 to 27 August about 370 young people took part in the national forum of the Salesian Youth Movement in East Timor.

Medellín, Colombia - August 2017 - The Edu-communications Commission of the Salesian Family of Colombia met on 29 August at the Provincial House of Salesians in Medellín to work on a project to foster peace and reconciliation. Daughters of the Sacred Hearts, Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, Salesians of Don Bosco and laity, have decided to respond to Colombia's post-conflict through a project involving Don Bosco's preventive system that allows children and young people to bring peace as "good Christians and honest citizens."

Vatican City, Vatican - September 2017 - On 4 September, eleven bishops of Honduras, arriving in Rome for the quinquennial "ad Limina Apostolorum" visit, were received by Pope Francis. Among them: the Archbishop of Tegucigalpa, Cardinal Oscar Rodriguez Maradiaga, SDB, coordinator of the Council of the nine cardinal institutes set up by the Pontiff to help him reform the Roman Curia and the government of the Church.
