(ANS - La Paz) - The word "periphery" has taken on a deeper meaning in recent years. On many occasions Pope Francis has spoken of the "peripheries of the world", or "existential peripheries," a polyvalent expression full of meanings which indicate a judgment on the contemporary Church and, at the same time, a perspective, a direction for progress. Not only do the Bolivian Salesians have various works in the suburbs, but the same Salesian University has now come to the periphery in search of young people with specific needs.

(ANS - Madrid) - On 7-8 July, leaders in the world's 20 most developed countries will meet in Hamburg, Germany, on the theme: "Shaping an Interconnected World." The G20 leaders will mainly discuss economic, financial, climate and trade policies, employment and development, along with other key global issues such as migratory flows and refugees, and the fight against terrorism.

RMG – Don Bosco: “The Fascinating Saint”(ANS - Rome) - Don Bosco is perhaps the most amazing and fascinating saint, history has ever produced. The humble work which he began for the welfare of his poor and abandoned boys in Italy has produced astonishing results, and today there are nearly 14000 Salesians working in 138 countries, and there are more than 200,000 members belonging to the 32 groups of the worldwide Salesian Family sharing the charism of Don Bosco and reaching out to the needy young people.

This assembly, the most important one that the Congregation can experience, occurs every six years along the Salesian Congregation’s journey.
