Venezuela – Over 600 Youth Participate in DIMISAL 2025: “Anchored in Christ, Missionaries of Hope”

11 March 2025

Venezuela – March 2025 – Last weekend, more than 600 young people gathered at various Salesian centers across the Province of St. Luke in Venezuela (VEN) to begin the annual formative experience organized by the Salesian Youth Ministry, known as DIMISAL (Don Bosco International Meeting of Salesianity 2025). Under the theme “Anchored in Christ, Missionaries of Hope”, this initiative seeks to prepare and accompany youth in their spiritual journey leading up to Holy Week.

DIMISAL follows a pastoral itinerary that includes biblical enlightenment, reflection on young people’s realities, symbolic activities, and evaluations. The applied method—listening, accompaniment, discernment, and transformation—fosters spiritual growth and missionary commitment. Salesians, laypeople, and young leaders collaborate in this initiative, strengthening the synodal spirit and promoting a message of hope.

This experience not only reinforces the Salesian mission but also contributes to building a Church open to contemporary challenges. The participating youth are preparing to bring words of hope and service to vulnerable communities, demonstrating that every action can be a seed of love and solidarity for a more just world.
