(ANS - Clairvaux) - The Salesians arrived in Madagascar in 1981 and settled in the most remote and most populous areas of the country, a place where it is possibile to meet marginalized youth and families facing difficulties. Engaged in education, the Salesians work with children who, in most cases, come from families with a single parent: either because they are orphans, or because one of their parents has abandoned them.
(ANS - Aleppo) – Returning five years later to a war-torn city, meeting friends and invaluable collaborators, realizing how much work is still to be done and how much time has been wasted because of a useless war and, above all, start working to relaunch the mission is what the three Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, including the Middle East Provincial, Lina Abou Naoum, lived through having finally been able to spend a few days in Aleppo at the end of May.
(ANS - Vatican City) - From July 1, 2007 to June 30, 2017: Exactly ten years at the leadership of the Libreria Editrice Vaticana (LEV), the body coordinating and chairing the editorial activity of the Holy See. It is the experience lived by Sicilian Salesian Fr Giuseppe Costa, who has performed his service under two Pontiffs, Benedict XVI and Francis, for the benefit of the universal Church and millions of readers all over the world.

RMG – Don Bosco: “The Fascinating Saint”
(ANS - Rome) - Don Bosco is perhaps the most amazing and fascinating saint, history has ever produced. The humble work which he began for the welfare of his poor and abandoned boys in Italy has produced astonishing results, and today there are nearly 14000 Salesians working in 138 countries, and there are more than 200,000 members belonging to the 32 groups of the worldwide Salesian Family sharing the charism of Don Bosco and reaching out to the needy young people.

Dear friends and readers, members of the Salesian Family, for this month's greeting in the Salesian Bulletin I will focus on a very important event that the Salesian Congregation is holding presently: General Chapter XXIX. This assembly, the most important one that the Congregation can experience, occurs every six years along the Salesian Congregation’s journey.
