(ANS – Rome) – On the occasion of the first anniversary of the Canonsation of Salesian brother Artemides Zatti, on the weekend of 7-8 October 2023 the Rector Major of the Salesians and Nnewly created Cardinal, Fr Ángel Fernández Artime, will travel to Boretto, Zatti's hometown, as an illustrious guest for two full days of events and significant appointments. In the circumstances, on Sunday 8th he will also be awarded honorary citizenship of the small Emilian municipality.
(ANS – Rome) – The Vatican Postal Service is issuing a special Postage Stamp for the first anniversary of the canonization of Artemides Zatti, SDB, on 9 October 2023, as per the communication by circular within the Vatican Administration itself.
Salesian Headquarters proposed two postcards for the occasion, signed by artist Daniela Longo and Maria Carmela Perrini.
It will be possible to have the item duly stamped up until 11 November 2023.
(ANS – Rome) – Don Bosco International and the Youth Ministry Sector of the Salesian congregation support the launch of the Living Laudato Si’ survey, the first initiative designed by ELSiA to gain an understanding of Pope Francis’ encyclical-inspired initiatives implemented across Europe.
(ANS – Rome) – At the beginning of October, missionary month, the cycle of interviews with missionaries who were part of the 154th Salesian Missionary Expedition comes to an end. The last to introduce himself is a young Salesian from Vietnam, who already hopes one day to be remembered as a great servant and missionary for the people he is going to serve.
(ANS - Rome) - The Team Visit of the Mediterranean Region will begin on Tuesday, 3 October, in Ariccia, at the outskirts of Rome. Guided by the presence of the Rector Major, the newly appointed Cardinal Ángel Fernández Artime, his Vicar, the Sector Councillors and the Regional Councillor, the Provincial Councils of the entire Region will spend four days full of listening, reflection, discernment, prayer and fraternity, united in the search for the best solutions to "Build a Future of Hope" for the Mediterranean region.

India – INS youth solemnise Don Bosco’s Feast Day with ‘Ka Sur Kynud S-3’ Grand Finale
(ANS – Shillong) – The Youth of St John Paul II, Shillong Province, celebrated the Feast Day of St. John Bosco with the Grand Finale of “Ka Sur Kynud, Season 3.” Organised by Don Bosco Media Network Television, the Social Communication Department of the Province, at Don Bosco Youth Centre, Laitumkhrah, Shillong, this two-month-long singing competition, which imitates the global singing competition The Voice, concluded on 31 January 2025, coinciding with the Solemnity of St John Bosco.
