(ANS– Rome) – The new website of the Salesian Historical Institute (ISS) and the Salesian History association (ACSSA) has been online since Thursday 30 November. The project to create the new site took several months and required much research to ensure that all the information was presented in an objective, intuitive and easily accessible way.
(ANS – RMG) – During the winter session of the General Council on 6 December, Cardinal Ángel Fernández Artime, Rector Major of the Salesians of Don Bosco, with the consent of the members of his Council, appointed Fr Peter Končanas Superior of the Salesian Province of Slovenia (SLO) for the six-year period 2024-2030.
(ANS – Rome) – The cycle of events in the series "What kind of Salesians for the youth of today?" continues, on the Action Programme for the Salesian Congregation after the 28th General Chapter. On Saturday, 9 December 2023, Cardinal Ángel Fernández Artime, Rector Major of the Salesians, will speak directly, offering ideas and insights on the topic of “The challenge of Formation in the Congregation today”.
(ANS - Rome) - The Sector for Social Communication of the Salesian Congregation is launching this year the new project of the "Don Bosco Digital Forum": a new platform and channel for listening, dialogue and participation with the Delegates for Social Communication and especially with the young people directly involved in the Communication of Salesian Provinces and Vice provinces all over the world. The ultimate goal of this initiative, as the title well summarizes, is to "Share our journey of life and faith in the digital world".
(ANS – Rome) – The calendar for Advent and Christmas 2023-24 was produced by the Youth Pastoral Sector in collaboration with the Laudato si' circle “nelle Selve” of Rome, has the Laudate Deum as its theme and can be downloaded in different languages at this link.

India – INS youth solemnise Don Bosco’s Feast Day with ‘Ka Sur Kynud S-3’ Grand Finale
(ANS – Shillong) – The Youth of St John Paul II, Shillong Province, celebrated the Feast Day of St. John Bosco with the Grand Finale of “Ka Sur Kynud, Season 3.” Organised by Don Bosco Media Network Television, the Social Communication Department of the Province, at Don Bosco Youth Centre, Laitumkhrah, Shillong, this two-month-long singing competition, which imitates the global singing competition The Voice, concluded on 31 January 2025, coinciding with the Solemnity of St John Bosco.
