During the interview, Fr Giuliano Giacomazzi, President of the Centro Nazionale Opere Salesiane-Formazione Aggiornamento Professionale (CNOS-FAP), will ask the Rector Major several questions, which will serve to investigate the matter: what are the essential conditions for a Salesian community to be the first place of formation? And what are the strong elements in Salesian formation? And again: what are the relationships of Salesian formation with the Salesian mission, and of formation with how government is exercised?
On these and many other issues, therefore, it will be the authoritative voice of Cardinal Fernández Artime that will shed light and trajectories for the future.
In addition, those who participate in the online interview will also be able to submit their questions to the 10th Successor of Don Bosco, using the established approach to questions shared during the live broadcast in the broadcast chat rooms.
The interview will take place in Italian, but to make the contribution accessible to the entire Salesian world, simultaneous translation into English, Spanish, French and Portuguese is also planned.

The current one is the fourth cycle of events in the series "What kind of Salesians for the youth of today?", promoted by the Conference of Salesian Provinces of Italy (CISI) - Formation Sector, and by the “Living Tabernacles” Study Centre. In this 2023-2024 pastoral year, the meetings are dedicated to exploring the fourth Action Guideline on “formation to be Salesian pastors today” and, at the same time, considering the theme of General Chapter 29, to think about what it means to form Salesians “Passionate about Jesus Christ, dedicated to young people”.
