Rome, Italy - 1960s - In this photograph dating back to the early 1960s and now kept in the archive of the Pontifical Salesian University, you can see how the building site of the Pontifical Salesian Athenaeum, in Rome's Nuovo Salario district, looked at the time. The Athenaeum was transferred to Rome in the first half of the 1960s, with the aim of unifying all the Faculties in one location, for better mutual collaboration.
Rome, Italy – December 2023 – On the morning of Sunday, 17 December, Card. Ángel Fernández Artime has taken possession of the deaconry of Mary Help of Christians in Rome. In a simple and dignified celebration that was both genuine and full of enthusiasm, the Cardinal delivered a message full of trust in God to the faithful. Celebrating the Laetare Mass in Advent with him were several dozen Salesians: members of the parish community, led by the parish priest, Fr Valerio Baresi; other Salesians from the communities in Rome, and the Superior of the Special Circumscription of Central Italy, Fr Stefano Aspettati.

Turin, Italy - December 2023 - On 8 December, the Salesian house of the Crocetta, in Turin, celebrated the feast of the Immaculate Conception, memorial of Don Bosco's first meeting with Bartholomew Garelli and the Hail Mary from which everything resulted, and the conclusion of the Crocetta's centenary year. Fr Juan Carlos Pérez Godoy, Councillor for the Mediterranean Region, presided at the Mass.

India – INS youth solemnise Don Bosco’s Feast Day with ‘Ka Sur Kynud S-3’ Grand Finale
(ANS – Shillong) – The Youth of St John Paul II, Shillong Province, celebrated the Feast Day of St. John Bosco with the Grand Finale of “Ka Sur Kynud, Season 3.” Organised by Don Bosco Media Network Television, the Social Communication Department of the Province, at Don Bosco Youth Centre, Laitumkhrah, Shillong, this two-month-long singing competition, which imitates the global singing competition The Voice, concluded on 31 January 2025, coinciding with the Solemnity of St John Bosco.
