Capriglio, Italy - 1812 - House of the Occhiena family in Capriglio, a small town in Piedmont. Margherita Occhiena was born in that house on April 1, 1788, and stayed there until 1812, when she married Francesco Bosco.
Treviglio, Italy - 1960 - Visit of Cardinal Giovanni Battista Montini, (future Pope Paul VI) to the Salesian house of Treviglio. After celebrating Mass, the then archbishop of Milan greeted the altar boys.
Patagonia, Argentina - 1886 - Salesian missions in Argentina began in 1875. Fr Giovanni Cagliero, who was later appointed apostolic vicar, bishop, archbishop and cardinal, was the first to lead the missionary expedition.
