(ANS – Chennai) – DBYC Broadway inaugurated its 80th year of foundation. All 321 members received T-shirts. Old and young participated with a young heart.

(ANS – Bled) – From Tuesday 20 to Friday 23 August, 20 Salesians, Daughters of Mary Help of Christians and lay collaborators gathered in Bled at the Salesian Forum. The Forum was held for the first time at the Marjin Dom retreat centre of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians in Bled, Slovenia. The theme chosen for this edition of the Forum was "Giving a second chance". The participants came from different countries in Europe and the world: Belgium, Malta, Italy, Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Costa Rica and Nigeria.

(ANS – Rome) – Preparations for the 155th missionary expedition began on 25 August 2024 with the arrival in Rome of the 27 departing missionaries. The missionaries were welcomed by the General Councillor for the Missions, Fr Alfred Maravilla, and by all the members of the Mission Sector team in the Ceferino Namuncura community at Bufalotta, Rome.

(ANS - Ngozi) – Don Bosco Ngozi High School in Burundi is working to complete a sanitation project thanks to funding from the Salesian Missions “Clean Water Initiative.” Salesian Missions is the U.S. development arm of the Salesians of Don Bosco. The school has 1,248 students but has not been able to keep up with modernizing and increasing the number of toilets, even though the number of students has increased each year.

(ANS – San Giovanni Rotondo) – From 30 August to 1 September, the Youth Pastoral Conference of the Province of Southern Italy will mark the beginning of the new pastoral year 2024-25, which will be inspired by the SYM Proposal "Awaited by his love. Joyful in Hope" and to the upcoming Church and Salesian events such as the Jubilee and the 150th anniversary of the first Salesian mission.
