(ANS – Bangalore) – Once the dust settles, reality kicks in! The aftermath of the July landslides in Wayanad, Kerala, adds untold miseries to the script. Seeing their plight, BREADS Bangalore, in collaboration with Don Bosco College Sulthan Bathery, provided basic household articles and essential commodities to over 70 survivors of the landslides that hit Mundakkai and Chooralmala on November 5 as part of # We4You .
(ANS - Bari) - An interesting formation meeting for pastoral workers took place in Bari on 8 and 9 November 2024, in which the Youth Minitry Sector of the Salesian Congregation was also involved, through Antonella Sinagoga. The psychotherapist presented the educational criteria for educating to love and sexuality contained in ‘A Youth Ministry that educates to love’, written together with the General Councillor for Youth Ministry, Fr Miguel Angel García Morcuende.
(ANS – Moshi) – In an ever-evolving digital landscape, the power of Social Communication has taken on new dimensions, especially with the advent of Mobile Journalism (MoJo). From November 4th to 8th 2024, Don Bosco Moshi hosted a transformative workshop on Mobile Journalism, aimed at empowering Salesians to harness the capabilities of their smartphones for high-quality journalism.
(ANS – Rome) – An important experimental work was carried out for the conservation, organisation and cataloguing of some documents at the Archives of the General Postulation for the Causes of Saints in Rome from 10 October to 11 November. At the invitation of the Postulator General, Fr Pierluigi Cameroni, and with the collaboration of Fr Gabriel Cruz, Mr Diego Aguado, archivist at the Salesian Historical Archives Peru, has carried out an experimental process for preserving original documents relating to the collection of Blessed Alexandrina Maria da Costa, Salesian Cooperator: correspondence, manuscripts and photographs of great value for the Salesian Family.
(ANS – Vientiane) – Since 2004, more than 1000 young people from all corners of Laos PDR (Peoples Democratic Republic) have received good preparation for their lives thanks to Don Bosco Youth Vocational Training Center in Vientiane. Due to the mutual cooperation and trust between the Lao Youth Union and the Salesian Foundation of Thailand, the unique presence of Don Bosco in this country has been developing very well. The THA province (Thailand-Cambodia-Laos) of the Salesians has generously funded the whole project.
