(ANS – Hyderabad) – In a thoughtful initiative to foster understanding and dialogue, the Research seminar on sharing Salesian Charism and Mission with people of neighbour religions unfolded at St Joseph’s Province of Hyderabad. Held between 28 January and 1 February, the Seminar is a collaborative effort by the Salesians from different regions, organized by the Salesian Provincial Conference of South Asia (SPCSA), Missions Sector and Formation Sector.
(ANS - Rome) - Don Bosco, a man of prayer and action, not only laid the foundations of an immense movement of people who throughout the centuries have dedicated themselves to the salvation of the young, but he also left all his spiritual children a great wealth of useful indications for never losing one’s way. Between what he used to say and what was later picked up and witnessed or heard by his contemporaries, and what he wrote himself, there are pages and pages of aphorisms that in a clear-cut and memorable style still offer valid directions for a beautiful, meaningful and holy life.
(ANS – Turin) – Cardinal Ángel Fernández Artime, Rector Major, has confirmed the choice of the logo for the celebration of the 150th anniversary of the First Salesian Missionary Expedition. Thirteen provinces submitted their proposals to the logo competition, organised by the Missions Sector, from which a six-member commission selected the best logo according to predetermined criteria. The winning logo comes from the Czech Province of St John Bosco (CEP), and is the work of artist Martina Mončeková.
(ANS – Pietra Ligure) – After a year full of initiatives organised by the Vera Grita and Fr Gabriello Zucconi – Work of the Living Tabernacles Foundation, together with the Diocese of Savona-Noli and the parish of Mary Help of Christians in Savona, the Centenary of the birth of the Servant of God Vera Grita, Salesian Cooperator, born in Rome on 28 January 1923, ended yesterday, 28 January.
(ANS – Kep) – The Social Communication team of the Cambodia Salesian delegation of the province of Thailand organized a two-day innovative programme “VOICES” at Don Bosco Kep (a technical school and children center at the southeast seacoast of Cambodia), on the 27 and 28 of January with the participation of representatives from 8 indigenous groups.
