(ANS - Juazeiro do Norte) - The Rector Major of the Salesians Cardinal Ángel Fernández Artime took part in the programme for the last day of the Pilgrimage of Our Lady of Candeias at Juazeiro do Norte-CE,. The celebration ended on Friday, 2 February, with the theme "The Servant of God, Father Cícero Romão: the Father of the Sertão" and underlined the motto of the event: "The brilliant light that shines even brighter".

(ANS – Rome) – The Sacred Heart of Jesus Basilica in Rome is preparing to receive, on Saturday, 3 February 2024, over 400 religious from all over the world who have come to Rome to participate in a pilgrimage "on the path of peace" – aimed at renewing the commitment of religious for reconciliation and peace. The pilgrimage will start and end at the Salesian Basilica of the Sacred Heart, and will be carried out on the sidelines of the 28th World Day of Consecrated Life (2 February 2024) and as part of a broader process of preparation of consecrated men and women for the Holy Year of 2025.

(ANS – Quito) – Last Friday, 26 January, at the Salesian Polytechnic University (UPS) in Quito, an inter-institutional cooperation agreement was signed between the UPS and the Salesian Project Ecuador (PSE) to respond to the new challenges of reorganising and strengthening the educative and pastoral offer for young people.

(ANS – Jorhat) – The third edition of NE-Vent (Northeast Venture), the flagship programme of The Hub Jorhat, Bosco Institute, was launched on January 24. NE-Vent3 is exclusively for women entrepreneurs. A cohort of 25 was selected for this immersive entrepreneurial journey. The entrepreneurs will receive training in business skills, develop their business and finance plan, pitching training, and have access to co-working space in the Hub Jorhat. At the end of the incubation training and pitching, the most promising entrepreneurs would receive seed funds to set up their enterprises. Mrs. Nidhi Gupta. (ANS – Lima) – This year, 2024, which marks the 200th anniversary of the first prophetic dream that Saint John Bosco had at the age of nine, in which Christ and the Virgin Mary indicated to him what his mission would be, the Salesians of Peru have launched a short film on this mystical vision of the saint, adapted to the reality of today's young people.
