(ANS – Tigaraksa ) – The Salesian of Don Bosco in Tigaraksa Community, located in Tangerang Regency, Indonesia, is known as a formation house in INA Vice Province. There is also a training center called Balai Latihan Kerja Salesian Don Bosco, a Salesian concrete ministry for young people in Indonesia in accordance with the Salesian spirit. The Salesian Don Bosco Training Center is unique because, among the 150 current students, about 93.7 percent of them are Muslim young people. The teaching staff and instructors are also 95 percent Muslims. This is the beauty of the Salesian working in a Muslim country.
(ANS – Rome) – The stage of the preparation in view of the 2025 Jubilee at Rome for the consecrated men and women ended on Sunday, 4 February 2024. Comprising various significant moments, including the pilgrimage to the Salesian Basilica of the Sacred Heart in Rome, it gathered about 400 religious from all over the world, who received from the Holy Father the specific mandate to be “signs of reconciliation among people” where God has called them to work.
(ANS – Juazeiro do Norte) – The dedication ceremony of the Church of the Bom Jesus located in the so-called "Horto" of Father Cicero, which is part of the Salesian work in the city, took place on Saturday, 3 February 2024, in Juazeiro do Norte, in the State of Ceará. After more than two decades, the dream of the Servant of God Fr Cícero Romão Batista was thus realized, in the presence of Cardinal Ángel Fernández Artime, Rector Major of the Salesians of Don Bosco, on an Animation Visit to the St Aloysius Gonzaga Province of Brazil-Recife (BRE). Present too were the Diocesan Bishop of Crato, Bishop Magnus Henrique Lopes, the Superior of BRE, Fr Francisco Inácio Vieira Júnior, and numerous priests, seminarians, religious and lay people.
