(ANS – Cordoba) – In an era of great technological, social and cultural transformations, many changes can generate uncertainty and fear among young people about their future. The educators who accompany them often find a growing demand on their part to receive a vocational orientation, understood starting from Salesian values, with the possibility, that is, of being helped in the search for their own identity and in the decision-making processes at the base of a life project built on gospel values.

(ANS - Rome) – The Strennas that Fr Ángel Fernández Artime, Rector Major of the Salesians of Don Bosco, now Cardinal, has produced and disseminated in his 10 years at the head of the Salesian Congregation (2014-2024) are the subject of a publication by his Secretary and spokesperson, Fr Giuseppe Costa. The collection is entitled "Called to Love with Hope" and in the introduction among other things states, the authoritative contributions of journalist Enzo Romeo, professor of the Theological Faculty of Sicily Massimo Naro, and sociologist Cecilia Costa, of the University of Roma Tre, who, from their point of view, make a transversal reading of the volume.

On Thursday, 29 February 2024, the book will be presented at the Maria Santissima Bambina Institute, at Via Paolo VI, Rome, during an event that can also be followed remotely by watching the live stream available on YouTube.

(ANS – Santo Domingo) – Coming from the Northeast of Brazil, where he had celebrated the Feast of Don Bosco and paid tribute to the Servant of God Father Cícero Romão Batista, whom he proclaimed a Salesian Cooperator, Cardinal Ángel Fernández Artime, Rector Major of the Salesians of Don Bosco, landed on Wednesday, 7 February 2024 in Santo Domingo, to carry out an Animation Visit to the Salesians of the St John Bosco Province of the Antilles (ANT). 

(ANS – Legnano) – Following the decree of Venerability of the Servant of God Fr Carlo Crespi, SDB, issued on 23 March, 2023, the"Associazione Padre Carlo Crespi" has created, through the work of the cartoonist Mario Lisi, a "Comic Book" Biography of the Salesian missionary entitled: "From Legnano to Ecuador. Father Carlo Crespi the ‘all round’ Missionary". The story is aimed at everyone, but in particular at young people who will certainly be fascinated by the adventurous life of the character who loved God, his neighbour and creation with all his heart, so that they too will be encouraged to dream and fulfil their dreams.

(ANS – Milan) – The event launching the"National Exhibition of Masterpieces 2024" will take place in Milan, at the Salesian St Ambrose Institute on Thursday 29 February (10 am – UTC+1). The National Exhibition of Masterpieces is an initiative that the National Headquarters of the National Salesian Works Centre – Professional Update Training (CNOS-FAP in Italian) has been promoting since 2008 as a motivational tool for students, as a useful objective for teaching and as a showcase to foster contact with companies. And there will be no shortage of distinguished guests at the launch event.

(ANS – Dimapur) – In 2022 the three Provinces of Northeast India (India-Dimapur, India-Guwahati and India-Shillong) celebrated the 100th anniversary of Salesian presence. And for the occasion, Fr Alfred Maravilla, General Councillor for Missions, had visited the Provinces of Guwahati and Shillong to participate in the celebrations, but he had not been able to reach the Province of Dimapur (IND). Thus, on Friday, 2 February 2024, the General Councillor for Missions achieved this goal, arriving in Dimapur from Hyderabad, together with the Provincial of IND, Fr Jose Kuruvachira, to begin an animation visit.
