(ANS - Kampala) – A truly historic moment for the 11th Group of the Salesian Family, Caritas Sisters of Jesus, was the first profession of their first African members, in Namugongo formation house, in Kampala, Uganda, last February 2, 2024.

(ANS - Cape Town) – The Learn to Live School of Skills, a flagship initiative of the Salesian Institute Youth Projects, proudly hosted a spirited Mardi Gras-themed concert this week, delighting guests of honour from the Neighbourhood Old Age Homes (NOAH) in Cape Town.

(ANS – Rome) – The cycle of events in the series "What kind of Salesians for the youth of today?" continues, on the Action Programme for the Salesian Congregation after the 28th General Chapter. On Saturday, 17 February 2024, Fr Silvio Roggia, Rector of the Zefirino Namuncurá community in Rome will speak, called to offer ideas and insights starting from the theme "In the face of cultural changes, what kind of fraternal life and Salesian mission for today?"

(ANS – Vatican City) – On Thursday, 15 February 2024, the Holy See Press Office announced that the Holy Father Francis has appointed Salesian Father Francesco Fontana as Chaplain of the Directorate of Museums and Cultural Heritage, Coordinator of all the Chaplains of the Directorates and Central Offices, Coordinator of the "Estate Ragazzi" Program and of the "Family Day" Program and other family pastoral initiatives.

(ANS – Rome) – The film "Zatti, hermano nuestro" – a production of the Salesian Bulletin and of the two Provinces of Argentina, North and South, written and directed by Fr Ricardo Campoli, member of the Social Communication Sector of the Salesian Congregation – was the winning film at the 15th edition of the international festival of Catholic filmography "Mirabile Dictu", in the short film category. The award ceremony took place on the evening of Thursday 15 February 2024, in the fine setting of Palazzo Cesi in Rome, near the Vatican.
