(ANS - Rome) – The Volunteers of Con Don Bosco (CDB) constitute a Public Ecclesial Male Association of Lay Faithful. Founded by Fr Egidio Viganò, they are recognized as the 17th Salesian Family Group, to which they belong since 1994. During these summer months, the association's leaders have been engaged in the preparation of the VI General Assembly which, invoked last year on the occasion of the Solemnity of Mary Help of Christians, shall take place in Rome from 28 December 2017 to 5 January 2018.
(ANS - Esztergom) – On schedule, the activities of the Team Visit to the East Sector of the North Central Europe Region at the Saint Adalbert Center in Esztergom, Hungary. Yesterday, August 9, they presented their reports to the General Councilors for Economics and for Youth Ministry.
(ANS - Calcutta) - "Don Bosco Ashalayam is the only family I have ever had," says Sanjoy, a boy who grew up without parents. He remembers having lived in the streets, where he worked, slept, and sought food to survive. He recalls that a family once offered him a place to stay, but soon realized it was a scam; they treated him like a domestic slave, abused him and gave him no money, nor help. And he was just 10 years old.

RMG – Don Bosco: “The Fascinating Saint”
(ANS - Rome) - Don Bosco is perhaps the most amazing and fascinating saint, history has ever produced. The humble work which he began for the welfare of his poor and abandoned boys in Italy has produced astonishing results, and today there are nearly 14000 Salesians working in 138 countries, and there are more than 200,000 members belonging to the 32 groups of the worldwide Salesian Family sharing the charism of Don Bosco and reaching out to the needy young people.

Dear friends and readers, members of the Salesian Family, for this month's greeting in the Salesian Bulletin I will focus on a very important event that the Salesian Congregation is holding presently: General Chapter XXIX. This assembly, the most important one that the Congregation can experience, occurs every six years along the Salesian Congregation’s journey.
