(ANS - Esztergom) - The care for individual spirituality, the courage to leave room for laity, outreach, missionary endeavor ... These are some of the Rector Major Fr Ángel Fernández Artime's concluding remarks to the Salesians gathered in Esztergom this past Saturday, August 12, during the Team Visit to the East Sector of North Central Europe region.
(ANS - Várzea Grande) - Jeferson Gabriel Ferreira, a 13-year old student of the Salesian Institute "São Gonçalo", is committed to creating a library for the community in Várzea Grande all by himself. The initiative is the result of his love of books and the concomitant absence of a library in that area. For his commendable commitment, he is now finalist at the "Good Example Award", a prize that seeks to highlight and acknowledge positive individual initiatives that help to improve society.
(ANS - San Benito Petén) - Florencia and Maite are two Argentine doctors who spent several months as volunteers at the Department of Peten, Guatemala, as part of the project for the Health Pastoral Care of the Salesian Parish in San Benito Petén. Here is their testimony.

RMG – Don Bosco: “The Fascinating Saint”(ANS - Rome) - Don Bosco is perhaps the most amazing and fascinating saint, history has ever produced. The humble work which he began for the welfare of his poor and abandoned boys in Italy has produced astonishing results, and today there are nearly 14000 Salesians working in 138 countries, and there are more than 200,000 members belonging to the 32 groups of the worldwide Salesian Family sharing the charism of Don Bosco and reaching out to the needy young people.

Dear friends and readers, members of the Salesian Family, for this month's greeting in the Salesian Bulletin I will focus on a very important event that the Salesian Congregation is holding presently: General Chapter XXIX. This assembly, the most important one that the Congregation can experience, occurs every six years along the Salesian Congregation’s journey.
