(ANS - Rome) - The Spanish artist Agustín de la Torre, who designed the Strenna 2022 poster with the large red heart in the center of the work, explained how this project was developed and how his closeness to the Salesian world inspired this design of great visual impact.
(ANS - Rome) - The Sector for the Salesian Missions has published its latest video for the Salesian Mission Day 2022 "Communicating Christ Today - #MissionariesOnline" on its social networks. After the three videos that expressed the young people’s point of view, in the last video comes the Salesian response, which is to always be on the side of the young, proclaiming Christ with one's life.
(ANS - Rome) - On Saturday 5 February, the meeting of the Presidency of the World Confederation of Don Bosco Past Pupils was held online, led by Bryan Magro, Confederal President. All the newly elected Confederal Councilors took part, with the World Delegate, Br. Domenico Duc Nam Nguyen, SDB, and the Central Delegate of the Rector Major for the Secretariat for the Salesian Family, Fr Joan Lluis Playà.
(ANS - Rome) - Among the many initiatives that this year intend to help rediscover the figure of Saint Francis de Sales on the fourth centenary of his death, there is one designed for the ordinary rhythm of life of the Salesian communities. There are 5 videos lasting between 10 and 15 minutes, which are well-suited to the time usually used for spiritual reading and bedtime. They will be shared throughout the year on a bimonthly basis.
(ANS - Rome) - From 1 December 2021 to 28 January last, Rector Major Fr Ángel Fernández Artime and his Counci were involved in the activities of the winter plenary session of the General Council. Many and timely were the decisions taken in this assembly.
(ANS - Rome) - The Salesian Missions Sector continues to publish videos for Salesian Mission Day 2022 “Communicating Christ Today - #MissionariesOnline”. In fact, after the initiative’s trailer, released at the end of January, the 3 videos "Communicating", "Christ", "Today" as expressed in the guidelines are being published today via web. The videos are in TikTok-Point of View-style so do share them after some time and involve young people for feedback and duets.

RMG – Don Bosco: “The Fascinating Saint”
(ANS - Rome) - Don Bosco is perhaps the most amazing and fascinating saint, history has ever produced. The humble work which he began for the welfare of his poor and abandoned boys in Italy has produced astonishing results, and today there are nearly 14000 Salesians working in 138 countries, and there are more than 200,000 members belonging to the 32 groups of the worldwide Salesian Family sharing the charism of Don Bosco and reaching out to the needy young people.

India – INS youth solemnise Don Bosco’s Feast Day with ‘Ka Sur Kynud S-3’ Grand Finale
(ANS – Shillong) – The Youth of St John Paul II, Shillong Province, celebrated the Feast Day of St. John Bosco with the Grand Finale of “Ka Sur Kynud, Season 3.” Organised by Don Bosco Media Network Television, the Social Communication Department of the Province, at Don Bosco Youth Centre, Laitumkhrah, Shillong, this two-month-long singing competition, which imitates the global singing competition The Voice, concluded on 31 January 2025, coinciding with the Solemnity of St John Bosco.

United States – CATHOLIC WORLD DAY OF THE SICK: Salesian Missions highlights medical programs for people in need around the globe
(ANS – New Rochelle) – Salesian Missions, the U.S. development arm of the Salesians of Don Bosco, joins Catholic organizations around the globe in honoring the Catholic World Day of the Sick. Every year on Feb. 11, the Pope marks the day with a special message calling for spiritual and physical closeness to all those who are ill. Saint John Paul II instituted the day “to encourage the people of God, Catholic health institutions and civil society to be increasingly attentive to the sick and to those who care for them.”
