Ángel Fernández Artime, SDB, regarding the conflict situation in Ukraine, could not but be forthcoming. "We too, as the Salesian Family of Don Bosco, and I personally, on behalf of all the groups, feel the duty to cry 'No to war!', while begging for this conflict to end and asking (and praying) for peace to come soon," the Rector Major says.

Among them, there are also two important professional organizations of solidarity, such as the Italian NGO "Volontariato Internazionale per lo Sviluppo" (VIS) and "Don Bosco Mission Bonn", the Salesian Mission Office active in Germany.
(ANS - Rome) - Throughout the Salesian world, there is no counting the number of activities undertaken in support of the Ukrainian population, victims of the war. Initiatives of prayer and of sensitization to peace, as well as demonstrations of solidarity, have sprung up and spread almost spontaneously in all the realities of the Salesian Family. At the same time, specific campaigns have been launched, especially by those organizations best prepared to face emergencies, to offer material aid according to need.
