(ANS - Rome) - As has become a tradition, in proximity to the Feast of Mary Help of Christians, in the cradle of the Salesian charism, in Valdocco, the Major Superiors and World Leaders of the various groups of the Salesian Family (SF) will gather together to carry out that fraternal assembly of mutual knowledge, sharing, proximity and planning that is the "Salesian Family World Advisory Council". The 2023 edition is scheduled from Friday, May 19 through Tuesday, May 23, and will see the leaders or their delegates physically present in Turin from as many as 25 of the 32 groups.
(ANS - Rome) - In order to give concrete support and a valuable instrument for the animation of the groups of the Salesian Family on the theme of the Rector Major's Strenna for 2023 - "AS YEAST IN TODAY'S HUMAN FAMILY. The Lay Dimension of the Family of Don Bosco" - the Secretariat for the Salesian Family has prepared a booklet summarizing the work carried out last January, work that was part of the XLI Days of Spirituality of the Salesian Family (GSFS).
(ANS – Rome) – One of the most important legacies that Don Bosco left to the Salesian Family is devotion to Mary Help of Christians. Countless schools, chapels, squares and neighbourhoods around the world bear her name. Millions of children, older youth and adults gather around the Virgin and are sheltered beneath her mantle. Although the devotion existed before, it was Don Bosco who made it popular all over the world and left it as an example, for protection and encouragement.
(ANS - Rome) - The journeys that Fr. Ángel Fernández Artime, Rector Major of the Salesian Congregation, made in 2022 and early 2023 are the subject of a publication edited by his Secretary and Co-spokesperson of the Congregation, Fr. Giuseppe Costa.
(ANS - Rome) - A new edition of the course for newly appointed provincial Economers began yesterday afternoon, Monday, May 15, 2023, at the Salesian Pontifical University (UPS) in Rome. Organized by the Congregation's Economer General's Office and scheduled until Friday 19, the course sees the participation of a total of 14 new Provincial Economers from as many circumscriptions of six Salesian Regions.
(ANS – Rome) – On Sunday, May 21, Pope Francis will inaugurate the Laudato Si’ Week at the Sunday Regina Coeli prayer from St. Peter’s Square in Rome. All of us re invited to join the Pope and the Laudato Si’ Movement in this important celebration week. The theme of the 2023 LSW is: HOPE FOR THE EARTH. HOPE FOR HUMANITY.

The humble work which he began for the welfare of his poor and abandoned boys in Italy has produced astonishing results, and today there are nearly 14000 Salesians working in 138 countries, and there are more than 200,000 members belonging to the 32 groups of the worldwide Salesian Family sharing the charism of Don Bosco and reaching out to the needy young people.

India – INS youth solemnise Don Bosco’s Feast Day with ‘Ka Sur Kynud S-3’ Grand Finale
(ANS – Shillong) – The Youth of St John Paul II, Shillong Province, celebrated the Feast Day of St. John Bosco with the Grand Finale of “Ka Sur Kynud, Season 3.” Organised by Don Bosco Media Network Television, the Social Communication Department of the Province, at Don Bosco Youth Centre, Laitumkhrah, Shillong, this two-month-long singing competition, which imitates the global singing competition The Voice, concluded on 31 January 2025, coinciding with the Solemnity of St John Bosco.
