(ANS - Rome) - On the 24th of the month, it has become customary to offer ANS readers one of the articles conceived and written by Fr. Gildasio Mendes, General Councilor for Social Communication, on the theme "Don Bosco and digital and virtual reality." After delving into various aspects of communication, in all its forms, this month Fr. Mendes tackles a new and interesting topic: Don Bosco communicated through a NETWORK.
(ANS – Rome) – Don Bosco has worked numerous miracles and he always attributed it to Mary help of Christians. A glance at the testimonies will make us understand the tremendous faith that he had in the unfailing help of Mary help of Christians.
(ANS - Turin) - All over the world the Salesian Family eagerly awaits May 24, the feast day of Mary Help of Christians. The Basilica dedicated to Her at the Mother House of the Salesian Congregation, in Valdocco, will again this year be the spiritual center toward which millions of eyes and hearts will turn, thanks also to the live broadcasts that will allow even at a distance to participate communally in the great copy of the celebration.
(ANS - Rome) - The second Salesian who tells his story to ANS, among those who are these days completing the special orientation course for missionaries already in their destination lands, is Salesian in initial formation Joël Komlan Attisso. Twenty-eight years old, he was born in Dagbati in 1994, has been a Salesian for almost eight years, and has already been a missionary in Papua New Guinea for two.
(ANS – Rome) – It is enlightening to recall, even if only briefly, some details of the process by which Don Bosco arrived at his intense devotion to Mary under the title of Help of Christians. They may lead us to a better understanding of the physiognomy of his and our vocation.
(ANS - Rome) - This May, the Missions Sector organized a special orientation course for missionaries who have already arrived in their missionary destination lands. Held partly in Rome and partly on Salesian Sites in Piedmont, the course was also an opportunity to gather several accounts about missionary life and their first impact with their new world. Telling his story today, the first of six missionaries, is young Salesian François Tonga, a Salesian in formation, originally from Madagascar and serving in Salesian Albania, belonging to the Southern Italy Province (IME).

RMG - St. Francis de Sales Communicator: All for Love
(ANS – Rome) - The figure of St. Francis de Sales, chosen by Don Bosco as an example of a communicator, teaches that communication is a matter of the heart. In his expression, "Everything in the Church is love: everything lives in love, for love, and of love," we understand his revolution in the way of communicating, and how communication becomes fruitful when it allows communion and the exchange of one's experiences in a path of accompaniment and collaboration in God's project.

WHAT A GIFT TIME IS!
THE MESSAGE OF THE VICAR OF THE RECTOR MAJOR,
Fr Stefano Martoglio, SDBThe beginning of the new year is illuminated in our liturgy by the ancient formula with which the Israelite priests blessed the people: "May the Lord bless you, and keep you. May the Lord show His face to you, and have mercy on you. May the Lord turn His countenance to you, and give you peace."
