(ANS – Rome) – Don Bosco 's loving-kindness has always been one of the secrets of his charm and even today this characteristic continues to give rise to vocations: to the missions as well as to priestly and consecrated life. This was the case for Fr Andre Delimarta, one of the missionaries who is part of the 154th Salesian Missionary Expedition.
(ANS - Rome) - It is not always necessary to go to the other side of the world to be a missionary. Sometimes God asks, through the mediation of the Congregation, to serve in one’s own neighbouring country. The important thing is to know who and what you want to witness and be available to serve your new brothers and sisters. This is now the mission that awaits Fr Michał Cebulski, another of the missionaries of the 154th Salesian Missionary Expedition.
Castelnuovo Don Bosco, Italy - September 2023 - The course for new missionaries continues full steam ahead into its third week. The new missionaries have been at Colle Don Bosco since 2 September. During the third week, the Missions Sector team has been guiding them through the core concepts of Missiology, dealing with topics that help them deepen their Salesian missionary vocation, which is a call from God within the common Salesian vocation. The serene and reflective atmosphere of Don Bosco's birthplace and the moments of fraternity and sharing help the participants to appropriate and personalise the topics covered.
(ANS – Rome) – Among the missionaries who will receive their Missionary Cross from the hands of the Rector Major on 24 September, is Salesian Mario Alberto Jiménez Flores, a thirty-three year-old from Tijuana, belonging to the Salesian Province of Mexico-Guadalajara (MEG).
(ANS – Rome) – Fr Ferdinandus Ola Amang, a native of the Salesian Vice-Province of Indonesia (INA), who will receive the Missionary Cross from the hands of the Rector Major on 24 September, is a missionary to the Papua New Guinea and Solomon Islands (PGS) Vice-Province.
(ANS – Rome) – As part of the preparation for the 150th anniversary of the first missionary expedition, which will take place in 2025, the Salesian Missions Sector has launched a competition for the creation of a logo to be used for all the initiatives that will take place in this regard.

WHAT A GIFT TIME IS!
THE MESSAGE OF THE VICAR OF THE RECTOR MAJOR,
Fr Stefano Martoglio, SDBThe beginning of the new year is illuminated in our liturgy by the ancient formula with which the Israelite priests blessed the people: "May the Lord bless you, and keep you. May the Lord show His face to you, and have mercy on you. May the Lord turn His countenance to you, and give you peace."
