12 February 2025

Medellín, Colombia - February 2025 - From 5 to 7 February, the city of Medellín was the setting for the Province Rectors Meeting in the Salesian San Luis Beltrán Province of Medellín, Colombia (COM), a key event for the consolidation and projection of the educative and pastoral work in western Colombia. The Villa de Sales event centre welcomed all the rectors of the communities. In an atmosphere of fraternity and commitment, they  focused their work on four essential pillars. The strategic basis for the six-year plan led by the Provincial Fr Ariel Guerrero. This plan will define the course of action for the coming years, guaranteeing the continuity and evolution of the institutional project. Likewise, the administrative guidelines have been revised and strengthened according to the criteria established by the Salesian identity, ensuring that the management of each community is aligned to its principles and values. The Rectors also reaffirmed their commitment to the religious vocation and their work of evangelisation, renewing their dedication to the service of young people and the community. Furthermore, emphasis was placed on the importance of youth ministry as the central axis of educational and pastoral work, with the aim of increasing its impact in all regions of Colombia and continuing to accompany young people in their personal and spiritual growth. This meeting reaffirmed the commitment of the COM province in the education and integral formation of young Colombians, promoting strategies to continue to transform lives through the charism of Don Bosco.
