(ANS – Rome) – From June 17th to 19th, there was the World Encounter of reflection on the “Salesian Rector’s Manual”, which took as a reference the Manual of 1986. The meeting was attended by 20 people; Fr. Ángel Fernández Artime, Rector Major, and Fr. Ivo Coelho, General Councillor for Formation, with the team of his Dicastery, were also present at the meeting.
(ANS – Rome) – A twofold appointment of Salesian Superiors during the last weekend: the Rector Major, Fr. Ángel Fernandez Artime, with the consent of his Council, appointed Fr. Felix Fernandes Avelino, Provincial of India-Panjim (INP), and Fr. Apolinario Ornai Maria Ornai Neto, Superior of the Vice-Province of Indonesia-East Timor (ITM).
(ANS – Rome) – Integrating in society and offering opportunities to those who are forced to leave their own country because of persecutions and wars: with this perspective, Salesians adopted as their own the slogan of the World Refugee Day promoted by the United Nations, which is celebrated today, June 20th: “With Refugees: We stand with those who are forced to flee”.
(ANS – Roma) – Last May 27th there was the conclusion of the first School for Provincial Delegates of Salesian Youth Ministry. 53 Salesians coming from 48 Provinces participated in this event, thus representing at least 5 persons for each of the regions in which the Congregation is divided in the world.

José Pastor Ramírez, World Delegate for Past Pupils, and of Fr. Eusebio Muñoz, Delegate of the Rector Major for the Salesian Family. India – INS youth solemnise Don Bosco’s Feast Day with ‘Ka Sur Kynud S-3’ Grand Finale(ANS – Shillong) – The Youth of St John Paul II, Shillong Province, celebrated the Feast Day of St. John Bosco with the Grand Finale of “Ka Sur Kynud, Season 3.” Organised by Don Bosco Media Network Television, the Social Communication Department of the Province, at Don Bosco Youth Centre, Laitumkhrah, Shillong, this two-month-long singing competition, which imitates the global singing competition The Voice, concluded on 31 January 2025, coinciding with the Solemnity of St John Bosco.
