(ANS - Rome) - The Spirituality Days of the Salesian Family 2019 will be held in Turin-Valdocco from 10 to 13 January 2019 and will be centered, as always, on the theme of the Rector Major's Strenna. The guideline for this 37th edition will therefore be the motto: "So that my joy may be in you" (Jn 15,11) - Holiness for you too."
(ANS - Rome) - The video of the Rector Major's 2019 Strenna, entitled "HOLINESS FOR YOU TOO", and which deepens the biblical text "So that my joy be in you" (Jn 15:11), was published online on Thursday 27 December, the day of the presentation at the Generalate of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians.
(ANS - Rome) - The Rector Major, Fr Ángel Fernández Artime, officially presented yesterday, December 27, at the General House of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians (FMA), the 2019 Strenna, whose title is: "Holiness for you, too", and which deepens the biblical text "So that my joy may be in you" (Jn 15,11).
(ANS - Rome) - On December 22, the Council of Presidency of the Salesian Biblical Association (ABS) gathered at the Salesian Headquarters of the "Sacred Heart" in Rome. The purpose of the meeting was to reflect on the work done in the last two years and on the possible options to make communication between the ABS Councilors and with the Salesian biblicists across the world more fluid and effective.
(ANS - Rome) - "The Son of God became man so that we men could become children of God. This is the reason for our hope and our peace." Thus formulating his best wishes for Christmas, directly from Bethlehem, is Fr Alejandro León, SDB, Salesian Provincial of the Middle East. Yet for many Christians it is impossible to openly manifest the reason for their hope. The Christmas of those who can openly celebrate it, then, must also remember the Christians persecuted for their faith.
(ANS - Rome) – After the consultation in Korea and the discernment process at Sacro Cuore for the new Provincial, the Rector Major with the consent of his Council appointed Fr Timothy Choi Wonchol (51 years of age) as the 5th Provincial of Korea, for the six year period 2019-2025.
