It saw cardinals, archbishops, bishops, religious superiors and leaders from all over the world discuss the problem of abuse. The meeting was also attended by Fr Francesco Cereda, Vicar of the Rector Major of the Salesian Congregation, who spoke to us about the summit and what is expected now that it has ended.

(ANS - Rome) - In the eyes of God every creature has the same, inestimable value; but for us human beings, no matter how hard we try, it's sadder and more painful when a person we knew, we appreciated, is stolen away from us. Fr Antonio César Fernández, SDB, over the years has left behind many good memories even among the Salesians at Salesian Headquarters and in the editorial staff of ANS.
(ANS - Rome) - To my Salesian Confreres, to the Salesian Family in the world. My dear brethren, it’s just a few minutes I have arrived in Rome, “Sacro Cuore”, on my return from Ireland, where I was doing the visit to the Province of St. Patrick, whose headquarters are in Dublin, and I right away get in touch with all of you.
