(ANS - Rome) - Yesterday, 16 May, on the Solemnity of the Ascension of the Lord, the 55th World Communications Day was celebrated. The theme of Pope Francis' message is: "Come and see" (Jn 1:46). Communicate by encountering people where and as they are. With this theme, the Holy Father wanted to underline the importance of experiencing, of "seeing with one's own eyes".
(ANS - Rome) - One of the objectives indicated in the programming of the Youth Ministry Sector in the field of personal accompaniment is to train educators in the development and maturation of the affective and emotional world of young people. To this end, a four-phase path has been designed.
(ANS - Rome) - May is a Salesian month. The Salesian Family, alongside the whole Church, is waiting for the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, celebrates the holiness of its members (St Domenico Savio, St Maria Mazzarello, St Luigi Orione, St Leonardo Murialdo, Blessed Józef Kowalski) and feels especially protected by her Mother and Teacher, Mary Help of Christians. Right under the mantle of Help of Christians, like the apostles of the first Christian community, the Consulta, the World Advisory Council, of the Salesian Family will meet on 21, 22 and 23 May for its the annual meeting - once again online - of the World Leaders of the 32 officially recognized Groups belonging to it.
(ANS - Rome) - A little more than 10 days from the Feast Day of Mary Help of Christians, two important innovations arrive for Salesian Family members who intend to prepare adequately for this anniversary: first of all, the booklets to accompany them are now available online, booklets for the celebration of the world Novena promoted by the Salesian Headquarters; also, the program of the celebrations scheduled for 23 and 24 May at the Basilica of Mary Help of Christians in Turin was officially clarified.
(ANS - Rome) - The path to foster reading, reflection and sharing on the main themes of "Young Salesians and accompaniment – Orientations & Guidelines" has reached the ninth video-seed. This penultimate episode focuses on three subtitles of the text: 4.13 spiritual accompaniment as holistic; 4.14 periodic personal assessments as means for growth; and 4.15 taking personal responsibility for formation (n ° 166 to n ° 171).
(ANS - Rome) - The videos of the world Novena to Mary Help of Christians (15-23 May) proposed by the Salesian Headquarters are already ready and will be made available in the next few days. The spiritual proposal for this year's novena, elaborated thanks to the collaboration between the Association of Mary Help of Christians (ADMA), the "IME Comunicazione" team, and the Salesian iNfo Agency (ANS), will focus attention on Mary as "Powerful Virgin," to be referred to with filial devotion in these pandemic times.
